Mound of the City of Old Sarum
Constable sent an impression of this print to Sir Thomas Lawrence, P.R.A., who wrote to thank him and stated that he thought the work ‘exceedingly well executed…I suppose you mean to dedicate it to The House of Commons?’ (Referring to the rotten borough scandal of Old Sarum).
