Thomas Lester Lace

Flounce with three headside components each having completely different characters yet forming a continuous whole with the use of a linking ribbon. The complex design includes convolvulus and other flowers. It has a footside of fern leaves and a ground of coarse medieval type. The fringed ends indicate that these four heads were made as a sample. 1860 - 80.
