| Cap from 1870 - 80 of ostriches inside frames of English roses and strap-like leaves. The wings of the ostriches and the inner petals of the roses have an additional layer of work stab-stitched into place. The lace has an unusual filling of plaits with double picots woven through at the intersections with a raised tally above. |
